I may not be Viking, but I might be buried with this LOL.I just received this last night as a birthday gift and I absolutely love it! Being a knife enthusiast (and starting collector) I have spent a considerable amount of time purchasing, researching and practicing with various knife steels, sharpening methods and materials and actuating/locking mechanisms. It has been a fascinating journey and I've really come to appreciate exceptional design, superior engineering and old-school methodologies.One of my more Zen-like hobbies is hand sharpening using whetstones and leather strops. And while I do indeed have several “travel” or portable sharpening tools, none of them are with me every hour of every day. Until now, that is! The Viking Whetstone Pendant is unbelievably convenient and exceptionally high quality. The leather strap/necklace is thin, strong and incredibly soft. While it was a bit long for me, I simply added 3 or 4 snake knots at the top of the pendant and it fits perfect (see photo.)I highly recommend this as a unique, high quality gift you can give someone interested in EDC, prepping or just a knife enthusiast. Schönes Teil. Sowohl als Schmuckstück, wie auch als behelfsmäßiger wetzstein zu gebrauchen.Finde er hat sogar noch ruchtig Charakter bekommen nach den ersten malen nutzen.Ist schneller da gewesen als angekündigt (mehr als eine Woche)Und hatte ein schönes Muster. Finde es sogar gut das man sich das nicht aussuchen kann. So ist die Vorfreude auf etwas besonderes irgendwie größer.
