This is an updated review. My last review was only 1 star because the paddle arrived missing 2 pieces. I returned it for a replacement and Amazon sent us the replacement next day even though it listed 2 day shipping. The new paddle arrived with all pieces and assembled easily. This paddle worked exactly as we had hoped. It’s lightweight, you can easily adjust the paddle length and it clicks in easily. This is a plastic paddle and it similar to the typical paddles that come with a paddleboard set.

Did a slight modification. The paddle handle at the top of the paddle is on backwards. After modification, the t-handle feels more comfortable.

The top adjustment locks so the handle can't inadvertently twist, which is better than some others. The bottom connection wiggles a little, which is worse than some others. Overall it works very will for the price.

At first I was very frustrated when I received this item because it came without any directions, and I couldn't see how to adjust the length. I found a You tube video that explained how to unlatch the hidden pin by pressing on the plastic collar with your thumbs. Poor choice not to include directions. However, I am extremely pleased with the paddle itself.It is actually perfect for a slightly unconventional additional use. I recently bought a 21 foot sailboat, and when I first launched it, both the wind and the outboard motor failed, and I found myself literally "up a creek (actually a canal) without a paddle." because my boat has a relatively high freeboard, a conventional paddle is not practical and is very awkward to use. With this very long adjustable paddle, I can extend it so as to comfortably stand in the cockpit of my boat and paddle it the short distance it takes to get to open water outside the marina where I keep the boat. I am having the motor fixed and ordinarily will use it, but having this paddle as a backup is quite handy and effective. It is also very important that it is adjustable and breaks down into three pieces so it can easily be stored out of the way when not needed, otherwise I wouldn't want to keep it in my small boat, in which case it would be useless. Excellent product.

Very lightweight and was excited to use but hand grip at the end of paddle is on backwards and will have to return/exchange.There are only holes on one side so you can not turn to correct. Blade of paddle is supposed to point away from body and with no way to change handle grip it hurts your hand.I am an experienced sup'er that's just too thrifty to spend $100+ on a paddle. This one would be awesome in corrected.Hopefully it's just a manufacturing error.
