After doing some extensive research on what cabinet would work best for my Quilter Superblock UK I decided on this one considering the cost and the quality. I was not disappointed! The Laney Cub 112 is a great sounding cabinet and I've really enjoyed it. The quality of tone when playing clean and overdriven have great clarity. I would certainly purchase this again in the future. If I had some more funds, I would have even considered getting the 2x12 model.

Einer der besten “Mini Verstärker” die man bekommen kann, Dynamischer Röhrenton vom Feinsten, von clean bis crunch wirklich großartig! Aber aufpassen, klingt am Besten mit dem H&H Speaker, die Celestion Variante die es auch gibt ist schon wieder sehr Jazz lastig und weniger flexibel.Für die härtere Gangart einfach einen Bodentreter davor, dann geht die Sonne auf!

Bon amplis tout lampe efficace même en utilisation 1 watt.Leger et facilement transportable.une seule remarque pas de sortie DI dommage!

Pour le prix, super ampli full lampe.Son très clair (ce marie super bien avec ma strat).Seul point "négatif" à mes yeux, l'utilisation d'une pédale active la réverb et non la saturation.

I just love this amp. It's range of tones is brilliant as is its retro look and it's not heavy to lug around. A useful feature is the possibility to plug into a 1 watt or a 15 watt input. My one moan it's that Amazon describes this amp has having a Celestion 12" speaker, when in fact it's speaker is an HH. The HH speaker is confirmed by Laney's web site.

Bisher hatte ich meine Gitarre immer nur mit Transistor-Amp verstärkt. Ich wollte endlich mal Röhre ausprobieren. Da Röhren-Amps erst richtig gut klingen, wenn sie weit aufgedreht sind habe ich einen Verstärker gesucht, den man zu Hause betreiben kann ohne unerwünschten Besuch der Nacharn wegen der Lautstärke. Das kann der Laney. Volle Power mit 15 Watt Ausgansleistung und ausreichend laut zu Hause mit etwa 1 Watt. Jetzt mögen einige Leser lächeln: Was sind schon 15 Watt ? Ich finde die Kiste voll aufgedreht sehr laut. Im Clean-Bereich etwas zurückhaltender, aber so richtig laut wenn der Gain-Regler aufgedreht ist. Klar für die Bühne ist er nicht gedacht.Nachdem die Kiste ca. 3 min aufgewärmt ist, kommt ein toller warmer und runder Klang aus dem Kasten, nicht so trocken wie bei den meisten Transistor-Apparaten. Der Amp sieht aus wie von gestern. Passt hervorragend zu solchen "alten Säcken" wie mich, die klassisch rocken wollen. Also tolles Outfit und gut verarbeitet. Lediglich eine Schraube musste ich nachziehen. Einziger Makel: wenn man Reverb voll aufdreht rauscht es ziemlich stark. Stört mich aber nicht, da ich es nie voll aufgedreht einsetze. Ich gebe trotz dieses kleinen Mangels volle Punktzahl. Die Verpackung allerdings war etwas dürftig. Ein einfacher Wellpappe-Karton ohne zusätzliche Polsterung. Aber hallo ? Dafür kann der Amp ja nun nichts. Ich hatte auch Glück mit der Anlieferung. Lediglich eine Ecke der Verpackung war angestaucht, der Amp zum Glück nicht. Ich bin mit dem Ding sehr zufrieden und kann ihn auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.Nachtrag: Seitdem ich ein besseres Kabel zwischen Gitarre und Verstärker benutze ist das Rauschen bei Reverb weg.

A few years back, my musical tastes changed a bit & I traded in a lot of my high-end guitar gear (including my tube amps) for solid state PAs and analog synthesizers. Recently though, my style is changing to include a lot more guitar into my sound, so I wanted to get another tube amp for practice.My last amp was a Fender Twin Reverb, so obviously I had pretty unrealistically high expectations to follow up, especially with a 10-watt amp under $200. However, I was blown away by how great this little Laney Cub sounds. The tone is gorgeous and the gain switch & low/high inputs allow for a wide range of sounds, between incredibly clean to beautifully warm & overdriven. It plays really nice with all of my pedals, and it's built beautifully and solidly. It's also crazy light for a tube amp!I'm sure a lot of people are concerned about this thing not being loud enough. I can say with all certainty that unless you plan on gigging this thing at a large hall, you have no worries. I can't put the follow up past 3 without the neighbors knocking on the walls. I haven't gigged with it yet, but I have do doubts that it would work perfectly for a solo acoustic gig at small venue like a coffee shop.My nitpicky complaints: it would have been nice to have had a headphone jack and effects loop, but it's certainly not necessary & probably would have driven the cost up. The external speaker out is a great addition though. Just wish it also had a direct line out for recording with.These are all minor though. This amp is a steal at $200. If you're looking for a small, light all-tube amp for practice or small gigs, look no further.
