Best Beginning Trombone Book for Kids: Beginning to Intermediate Trombone Method Book for Students and Children of All Ages

Gift for my 10 year old granddaughter. She was thrilled.

Teenager, with 13 yrs of piano lessons so far, decided to join band and take on the trombone as a second instrument. Student commented it's difficult as "positioning of piano vs trombone" music notes(?) are different on each instrument. Zoom over my head.Ran across this "beginner to intermediate" book in the hopes it covered what ever student was trying to explain to me. Book was a winner! Student said it was exactly what was needed.

Not at all what I expected - or wanted. It assumes you know how to hold and blow the trombone - and that you know all the slide positions. It's really just a book full of very basic notes on a clef. No pictures - nothing to start someone off. I inherited a trombone from my Dad and thought I'd try to learn how to play the scales and take it from there.
